Sister Juanita was born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico on December 21, 1917 as Juana Milián, daughter of Juan Milián and Romana Patron, the youngest of 9 children.

Juana married on December 18, 1942 to Mr. Alfredo Peña, had three children - Miguel Angel, Rose Aída and Gloria. She lost her husband on December 19, 1979 after 37 years of marriage and lost her son Miguel on January 27, 1997.

She gave her life to Christ in 1977 at the “True Light Pentecostal Church” and was baptized in 1979. Juana was a member of this church through 1995 until she moved to her home on Fairhill Street, then she began to go to the church of Pastor Jose Vargas where she was baptized again in 2001.
